  • Dimensions: 37.6 × 15.3 × 25.5 inches
  • Weight: 134.5 lb.

Which Size Should You Choose?

The manufacturer-advised pool volumes are useful starting points, but pool gallons alone do not determine the correct heater size.

Proper sizing also depends on:

  • Pool surface area
  • Location and climate
  • Desired water temperature
  • Months of operation
  • Wind and exposure
  • Whether a pool cover is used
  • Desired heating speed
  • Whether cooling is required

A larger model may be appropriate when faster heating, colder-weather performance, or an extended swimming season is important.

Boost and Silence Modes

Boost Mode allows the compressor to operate from 20% to 100% capacity and is recommended for initial heating.

Silence Mode limits operation to approximately 20% to 80% capacity and operates about 3 dB(A) quieter than Boost Mode.

Once the pool approaches the selected temperature, inverter operation allows the heat pump to reduce output and maintain the water temperature more steadily.

Heating, Cooling and Automatic Operation

The InverECO controller supports:

  • Heating Mode: 64°F–104°F
  • Cooling Mode: 54°F–86°F
  • Automatic Mode: 54°F–104°F

Automatic mode allows the unit to switch between heating and cooling to maintain the selected temperature range.

Optional Wi-Fi Control

An optional Wi-Fi module allows the InverECO to connect with the InverGo smart app for remote temperature adjustment, timers, mode selection, and equipment monitoring.

A strong Wi-Fi signal is required at the equipment location. Madimack recommends a signal stronger than approximately -50 dB for a reliable connection.

Electrical and Plumbing Requirements

  • Power supply: 208–230V
  • Phase: Single phase
  • Frequency: 60 Hz
  • Water connections: 1.5 inches
  • Heat exchanger: Titanium in PVC
  • Installation: Hardwired; plug connection is not permitted
  • Refrigerant: R410A

Recommended breaker and fuse ratings:

  • INVECO320: 13A
  • INVECO400: 13A
  • INVECO500: 16A
  • INVECO660: 20A

Final wiring, conductor size, grounding, overcurrent protection, and code requirements must be confirmed by a qualified installer based on the installation site.

Installation Requirements

The InverECO must be installed outdoors in a well-ventilated location by qualified professionals.

Manufacturer minimum clearances include:

  • 60 inches above the unit
  • 28 inches on the air-inlet side
  • 100 inches in front of the air outlet
  • 20 inches on the remaining side
  • 56 inches between units in a multiple-unit installation

These are minimum clearances. Additional open space can improve airflow and service access.

The unit must also:

  • Be secured to a solid concrete foundation or suitable corrosion-resistant brackets
  • Use rigid plumbing that does not place weight on the water unions
  • Have a connected condensate drain
  • Receive adequate circulation flow
  • Remain accessible for maintenance and service
  • Not be installed in a shed, enclosed deck, box, or other restricted-airflow location

Multiple heat pumps must be installed in parallel rather than in series.

Warranty

The current Madimack U.S. limited warranty schedule provides:

  • 25 years on the heat exchanger
  • 5 years on the compressor
  • 3 years on all parts
  • 3 years of on-site labor

Warranty coverage begins on the purchase date. Registration, professional installation, commissioning, maintenance, and all other Madimack warranty terms and exclusions apply.

What to Confirm Before Ordering

Before selecting a model, confirm:

  1. Pool volume and surface area
  2. Pool location and climate
  3. Desired water temperature
  4. Desired heating speed
  5. Seasonal operating dates
  6. Pool-cover use
  7. Available 208–230V single-phase electrical service
  8. Available circulation flow
  9. Equipment-pad space and airflow clearances
  10. Whether the optional Wi-Fi module is required

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the InverECO heat and cool?

Yes. It includes heating, cooling, and automatic temperature-control modes.

Is Wi-Fi included?

Madimack’s current U.S. product information identifies the Wi-Fi module and smart app as optional. Confirm whether the selected configuration includes the Wi-Fi module before ordering.

How cold can the InverECO operate?

Its published operating-air-temperature range is 32°F to 109°F. Heating output and efficiency decrease as ambient temperature drops.

Can it replace a gas heater?

It may be suitable for many residential pool-heating applications, but heat pumps and gas heaters perform differently. The correct choice depends on climate, required heating speed, operating schedule, utility costs, and pool conditions.

Does it require professional installation?

Yes. Madimack requires professional installation. The unit must be hardwired, properly grounded, plumbed with rigid pipe, commissioned for correct flow, and installed according to the manual and applicable codes.

Are the listed pool volumes guaranteed?

No. They are manufacturer-advised starting points. Final sizing depends on the complete pool and installation conditions.
