CHEMTROL® CH265 pH / Free Chlorine Digital Controller
The CHEMTROL® CH265 is a workhorse controller built to lock in safe, clear water with direct free-chlorine (ppm) and pH control—no colorimetric reagents, no membranes, and minimal routine upkeep. A solid-state free-chlorine sensor provides continuous ppm readings (typ. 0–10 ppm; low-range options available) while a dedicated pH channel spans the full pool chemistry range, giving you stable setpoints in real time. For dosing, the CH265 offers manual, automatic, and proportional feed modes with relay outputs to drive chemical pumps/valves, plus 4–20 mA signal output for integration with PID loops, data loggers, or BMS/SCADA. Built-in safety includes overfeed/runtime alarms and remote dry-contact alarm, so operators get clear fault signaling before issues become downtime.
In practice, that means fewer site visits and tighter water quality—ideal for commercial pools, spas, health clubs, and municipal facilities where bather load and regulations demand precision. Operators can tune chlorine and pH setpoints to local codes, use the analog output to coordinate with peristaltic feed pumps, and rely on the front-panel calibration/readouts for quick verification. The “no-reagents” chlorine measurement reduces consumables and operator error, while the controller’s clear front panel and serviceable I/O make it straightforward to install, scale, and maintain.

PRECISE AND RELIABLE PPM READING
The new Free Chlorine Sensor is a solid state sensor with a selective membrane that provides direct readings of Free Chlorine in water at concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 10 ppm (parts per million) or mg/l (milligrams per litter). These are true readings of Free Chlorine corresponding to the DPD #1 test.
A significant advantage of this PPM sensor is that it’s not affected by cyanuric acid (CYA) stabilizer and/or oxidizers, thereby assuring constant Free Chlorine levels at all times. Unlike other chlorine sensors on the market, this new sensor is easy to install and maintain and gives the operator precise and reliable control of Free Chlorine under the most difficult conditions. The PPM sensor is covered by a full 2-year warranty.
